The U.S. government trying to ban TikTok, a source where we have been able to get authentic, on-the-ground information, instead of strengthening data protection for everyone across all platforms is the same idea behind the U.S. Empire building a port in Palestine to bring “aid” for a genocide that they are funding.
It’s the same idea behind corporate “DEI” to try to address anti-Blackness and anti-Indigeneity. The same idea behind militarizing southern Korea to instigate northern Korea. The same idea behind bottling free water to sell water. The same idea behind building ramps in an entire infrastructure that isn’t accessible. The same idea behind sending the military to intervene in the puppet government it set up in Haiti. The same idea behind creating reservations to make space on Indigenous land for Indigenous people. The same idea behind building a cop nation.
The idea behind all of those is the same. Empire is responding to a problem that they themselves created. The U.S. Empire will never be able to offer solutions to its own problems because the U.S. Empire IS the problem. All Empire can do is offer distractions to not implicate itself. It will offer everything except itself.
No solution will ever come from Empire, because when the problem is Empire addressing it means NO Empire.
All Empires must fall, and all Empires will fall.
