Your Life’s Liberatory Purpose

Many people finally have awoken to the fact that our lives can and should be dedicated to collective liberation. I am happy for everyone that is starting to understand this.

Now, wait until you find your specific calling for that collective liberation. Then your life will become purposeful in ways you could not even imagine.

Unlike what capitalism teaches us, our purpose isn’t our job. Our purpose is what we are driven to do, what moves us, and in the case of those watching this, that is layered with what can move us along the path toward collective liberation.

So not just your purpose in life in living. But your liberatory purpose.

What do you do that helps lead us down an interdependent, anti-oppressive way of life? What do you do that can nurture community, restoration, and regenerative culture?

Find your direction within collective liberation. Try to separate capitalism and competition from what you love. For many, this will be difficult because colonization has done centuries and generations of work on us.

Competitive capitalist colonization has kept us from even finding what our passions and purposes are by keeping us busy, by keeping us occupied, by keeping us competing against each other and against our own lives. But take some time and space for yourself to think about what you would do outside of capitalist production, what you would do within a community that you love and want to be in.

Stop the occupation of competitive capitalist colonialism in our own minds.

But if you give yourself the gift of the time and space, if you can, you can push out the colonizer settled in your mind.

So not just your purpose in life in living. But your liberatory purpose. Find that.
