Your BIPOC Name

Black, Indigenous, People of Color, do not be apologetic when a white person can’t or won’t pronounce your name correctly. Do not make it easier for them.

Let THEM apologize to YOU for their own centering of whiteness, imperialism, and only having a catalog of colonizer names.

White people need to reflect on how white supremacy has stripped even themselves, of their own ethnicities & cultures. How the systems set up to benefit them have actually left them with a dearth of humanity, and a corrupt understanding of the entire world and its people.

So you, you beautiful Black, Indigenous Person of Color, embrace your name, the cultures that brought it to you, the wisdom of your ancestors, and the infinite vastness of who you are meant to be. I love you.
