I am releasing a suite of tools to help us fight surveillance culture and demand consent culture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is critical for folks to understand the utter importance of the security of your data, identity, space, and communities in these times. All of this directly translates to us being able to make choices about our own bodies, and our freedom of movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This first tool is a fun freebie<\/strong>. It is a good start for anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copy, print, and use the QR code<\/strong> above, this QR code is also available as buttons and stickers for purchase at jeomshim.com<\/a><\/strong>, but feel free to print it out and put it on your laptop, hat, shirt, or even as a sign next to you while you\u2019re just hanging out in public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If someone takes a photo\/video of you with their smartphone, and they capture the QR code it will lead them to this site<\/a>. Additionally, they might spot that the QR code says \u201cI do not consent\u201d in its center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, this will not necessarily prevent others from taking a photo or video, but it can deter them and start the conversation about consent<\/strong>. That is where we need to begin. Challenge the detrimental assumption of consent that is made about our digital identities and privacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
