Mutual Aid can and does happen all the time, not just during times of extraordinary events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Community Care systems existed before useless colonial governments and they will continue long after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Black, Indigenous, LGBTQIA, and disabled communities have created sustainable Community Care for hundreds of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We can absolutely collectively shift away from the Government\u2019s intentionally broken infrastructure that keeps us divided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remember to remember<\/strong>. Remember because they will distract you with the Inauguration, with half-promises, with incentives, and with just enough to keep us alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Remember to practice and build into Mutual Aid every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Establish Mutual Aid throughout the year, throughout your neighborhood, amongst your people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Make lists, share notes, have dinners, identify inventory, get to know each other\u2019s gifts and skills, train each other, so more people know how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Build supplies together, draw maps, designate drivers or routes, connect with the town next to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For us to build collective liberation, it is the time between emergencies and crises that matter. And that time between will only get shorter. Mutual Aid is all the time.
