Religion and faith have become very different in our capitalist colonial world. Some religions have even been created solely to oppress and colonize, and even others have been weaponized to oppress.
Religions around the world have been weaponized to commit genocides, theft, to enslave, and control people.
With Christianity for instance, many are aware that Empires have colonized and weaponized in its name. But by then, it is so far from the faith in the journey of Jesus and has become the organized religion being weaponized for oppression itself. It is oppression not faith.
Zionism was never Judaism, but oppressors invested in muddling the two. People are finally understanding this.
Be particularly vigilant about the way the name of Islam is weaponized by regimes and Empires. Understand when it has stopped being the faith, and has become the oppressor’s weapon. That is no longer Islam, it is oppression.
Western media has always invested in obfuscating weaponized oppression and Islam. When Islam is used as an excuse to oppress people, that is not Islam. It is in fact oppression.
Just as you know that Empire uses the term “democracy” and yet is the furthest from it, remember that oppressors and regimes will use the term “Islamic” and yet it is not Islam they are practicing at all. It is simply oppression. It has nothing to do with the faith of Islam.
Again, beware of the oppressor’s narrative. They will call anything anything.
Oppressors will have you believing that faith is the oppressor or liberator. It is neither. The oppressor is the one who weaponizes faith.
If you want to learn about a faith, learn about it from people, resistance, and practice. Do not learn about it through the oppressors’ narrative, violence, or repression.
