The two-state division proposed for Palestine is a euphemism for settler colonizer Israhell to retain control over Palestinians.
The division of the West Bank and Gaza from the rest of the land was already a type of two-state division. And we are witnessing what has happened and is happening with that.
Korea was divided so that the U.S. Empire could retain control over southern Korea.
One could view it as a two-state “solution” of northern Korea and the U.S. Empire. It is not even between northern and southern Korea, but northern Korea the United States, because the U.S. retains control.
And now over 70 years later Koreans are divided because of it. Even as a lifelong for reunification, I know it will be arduous and challenging. It didn’t have to be that way.
There was a moment before the division where it was crystal clear that a majority of Koreans wanted a unified Korea, but the U.S. actively stamped out those movements and orchestrated an election in its favor.
Now, many Koreans cannot even imagine what that could look like because Empire has done such excellent work of keeping us divided. Koreans in our own land, divided for the convenience of Empire.
The British Empire hastily passed the partition of India before leaving after 200 years of colonial rule, colonial rule that destroyed hundreds of thriving kingdoms.
The British Empire divided people by an oversimplified categorization based on faith, thereby sowing division amongst its own people for decades. This divisiveness set the foundation for the Partition.
An estimated 1 million lost their lives during the Partition alone. And the separation is so deep that many do not even know that Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India were once a mixed land and people.
These divisions of the Nakba, Korea, and India are so recent that we have elders alive, like my parents, who remember what it was like before Empire divided us.
Land and people are divided always under the convenience of Empire.
Division is for the benefit Empire and never for the benefit of the people.
Empire’s favorite tactic is divide and conquer. Divide land divide people. Concoct borders so it can control and conquer.
A two-state division cannot be allowed because all that means is Empire still retains control. We have already witnessed it over and over again. All it does is give Empire power and control.
We cannot allow division.
No more division.
All of us, together. We can end Empire forever. And Empire knows that.
We are powerful when we organize together. We are the waves. 🌊🌊🌊
