The fact that people don’t want to work if they don’t have to, that they don’t want to do more than is required of them, speaks not to laziness, lack of drive, lack of passion.

It in fact speaks to capitalism and white dominant culture.

“Laziness” is a weapon enforced by capitalism, to benefit white dominant culture.
It’s not that you “don’t care,” it is that the company doesn’t care about you.

You’re not lazy, you’re exhausted from the endless barrage of racism.
You’re not lazy, you’re tired of being exploited by companies and governments.
You’re not lazy, you’re non-stop fighting anti-immigrant policies, ableism, and transphobia.

It is not that people are getting lazier or more apathetic.

What we are witnessing is more people organizing and calling out capitalism and white dominant culture as toxic, and the structures that have been used to reign are crumbling and trembling at their foundations.
