If your company or organization has a “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” department, task force, committee, or statement, you will remain dangerous and performative if you are not at the VERY LEAST for a full and final ceasefire.
Doing anything less is harmful and even fatal to those very people you claim to support. It is as dangerous and performative as posting a black square on social media and thinking you have made a difference, or hiring Black people without actually changing anything to combat racism at your organization.
It will remain performative until you stop performing.
If you are for diversity, equity, and inclusion but are not for a full final ceasefire, then you are actually only for “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion ™,” which is not real. Thus, I highly recommend you explore another life path, because this one isn’t for you and you are harming people.
Either that or do your studies so you catch up to the call for a full final ceasefire.
