AI Urgency Culture

The manufactured urgency to release generative AI competitors to ChatGPT by Google, Microsoft, and other companies, is deleterious.

We are already in the AI stage of muddled legislation, breaches of privacy, and theft of IP.

Now layer on top of that, sloppy, ill-trained algorithms.

These algorithms are being integrated into the very search engines we use to access data, news, and what we understand to be facts.

Capitalism competition culture inherently leaves those most impacted behind.

E.g., we are still witnessing how Covid plays out as a global competition unnecessarily costing millions of lives in its path.

The race to be bigger and faster is already causing causalities, particularly of those who already are at risk, and who are already underestimated.

Profits over people means lives are being sacrificed. Even more.

Companies hold even more control of our data, access, opinions, and direction. They must be held accountable.

And, we must be vigilant and aware as we, too, are impacted by every nudge of capitalist haste.
